2022-2023 PTO officer nominations are now closed

Nominations for 2022-2023 PTO officer positions are now closed. The nomination committee will present a slate on April 1, 2022. The slate will be posted until our general membership meeting on April 21, 2022, when the full PTO will vote to accept or reject the proposed slate.

As a reminder, the PTO is an all-volunteer organization that relies on the selfless contribution of volunteers to make all of our wonderful events, programs, and fundraisers a success. Time commitments vary based on positions and more information can be found in the descriptions of each of the open roles under the Volunteer tab. If you have additional questions, please feel free to reach out to us at

Please consider being a chairperson or committee member for one (or more!) of the PTO committees. If you don't see what you want to do, create the position!

Thank you to everyone that was able to join the PTO general membership meeting last night. We know this is a very busy time of year with sports picking back up and we sincerely appreciate you making the time to be an active member of the MES PTO. Not able to join but want to know what's going on? We got you! Click the link below to view the presentation from last night's meeting.

PTO Community Enrichment Donations

The PTO depends on the generosity of our families to provide financial and volunteer resources to enrich the experience of our students. We ask for a suggested donation of $150* per student, 100% of which goes directly to the school. Donations can be made at the following levels.

  • Mustang $1,000+
  • Gold $500-$999
  • Blue $250-$499
  • White up to $249

Donors will receive a car magnet and be recognized at our general PTO meetings.

Community enrichment donation benefits:

  • 100% of your donated dollars go directly to MES
  • Donations can easily be made online during PTO registration or by clicking the “Donate” button on our PTO website.
  • Convenient opportunity for families to support our school
  • Help MES meet the needs not supported by DeKalb County.

Community enrichment donations support:

  • Accelerated Reader program
  • Technology and equipment
  • Cultural arts & events
  • Teacher training & support
  • Equipment & supplies
  • Music & arts programs
  • Educational resources for the classroom

These educational enhancements would not be possible without the generous funding from our MES families. If you work for a matching gift company, please provide us with your employer’s matching gift form to double your donation! Matching gifts are a quick and easy way to increase your contribution to the school. To set up a company match please email Heather Tomlinson at Your support of Montgomery will directly benefit our children and our community!
